T-Fiber / Lumos has started installing a 100% fiber-optic network in Amherst Township.

Here’s what you should know:


  • Work will take place in the public right-of-way (usually 30-ft from the roadway centerline) on weekdays during township-approved work hours, with minimal impacts on nights and weekends.

  • Prior to installation, underground utilities will be identified and marked with temporary paint or colored flags.  (See the "OUPS Information" section under "Departments" menu on this website.)

  • All work areas will be restored when installation is complete.
